Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Eid al-Fitr Letter

April 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

Eid al-Fitr, 2021

As the holy month has begun, we wanted to get in touch and firstly wish all our families who are participating in the observance a sincere Ramadan Mubarak!  Secondly, we wanted to confirm our expectations of attendance for the end of this month and give families an opportunity to get in contact if they have any questions or concerns.

As in previous years, we will support families by providing one day of authorised absence for religious observance.  It looks like it will be on or close to Wednesday 12th May.  We will expect all students to attend school for the rest of the week.  Please be aware if your child is in Y7, 11 or 13 that they will have assessments the week beginning the 10th May, these will take place all week. Y11 and 13 students will need to complete any assessments due to take place on the 12th May at another time that week.

Please get in touch with the Family Engagement Worker for your child’s year group if you have any questions or concerns (see below) by phoning school or emailing the office email address office@beckfootoakbank.org.

Year 11: Imran Jhangir

Year 9 and 10: Allison Bogle

Year 7 and 8: Gillian Hird

Thank you for your support, and when it arrives: Eid Mubarak to you and your family!

Yours sincerely,

Mr Hopkins

Assistant Headteacher
