Today we celebrated with our Beckfoot Oakbank Sixth Form students as they marked the end of two years of hard work, commitment and growth. A Level results day is always a special occasion for our schools community, and this year is no exception.
Our students achievements have opened doors to a huge range of opportunities, from places at Russel Group universities to exciting apprenticeships and career paths.
Overall, we added a quarter of a grade value to students from their starting point (0.25) value added). By this measure, we are one of the top performing sixth form providers in the area.
Our Sixth Form has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted for many years. We provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for students from across our local community, offering a broad range of A Level and vocational courses. Here, young people from the Keighley and Bradford district can develop their skills, build their confidence, and explore their ambitions as they prepare for life beyond school.
Our faculty leader of Post 16, Rachael Chang, summed up the day perfectly:
