We teach our students to use their innovation and creativity to solve problems that are fundamental to the future prosperity and sustainability of society.
We want our students to develop their ability to research and critically analyse existing products, the work of past and contemporary designers that will inform their own creative responses. They will develop and refine their practical skills that allow students to realise their design intentions as they make products and dishes.
Students will learn to enjoy how Design Technology makes essential contributions to the creativity, vulture, wealth and wellbeing of modern society.
In Y7, Y8 and Y9, Design Technology is taught on a rotational basis throughout the cycles and the subjects include Product Design, Textiles and Food Technology.
