This qualification is designed for learners aged 16–18 who have a keen interest in food science, nutrition, and health, and are considering future careers or higher education in these fields. It is ideal for those who want to explore the science behind food production, dietary health, and the wider impact of nutrition on well-being. By completing this qualification learners will:

  • Develop factual, procedural and theoretical knowledge of food science and nutrition to tackle tasks and solve problems that, while well-defined, may be complex and non-routine.
