At Beckfoot Oakbank School, we have a number of student leadership opportunities for students to become ambassadors of the school, inspire their fellow peers and thrive as responsible citizens within the school and local community.

Beckfoot Oakbank Student Ambassador
Our student ambassadors are champions of equality across our school. They stand up for all students’ rights and ensure that Beckfoot Oakbank is a place where all students can thrive and feel a strong sense of belonging.

We also support and encourage students who have a particular talent within the wider curriculum, be that performing on stage representing the school at a sporting occasion or having a keen interest in wider curriculum opportunities.

Beckfoot Oakbank Student Leader
Our student leadership is made up of 2 representatives from each form group. One boy and one girl
Students campaign within their form group to take on the role of school councillor. A democratic form vote rooted in British values decides which student represents the voices of the group. This system is set up to reflect the democratic system in the United Kingdom and to ensure that all voices within the school are heard.
Student Leadership is led by our two head of school and meet twice per term to discuss key aspects of the school where change and positive impact can be made. The application form and responsibilities of a Beckfoot Oakbank Student Leader can be found here:
