Students will be able to acquire sector-specific applied knowledge through vocational contexts by studying the aims,
products and services of different travel and tourism organisations, their use of consumer technologies, the features of tourist destinations, how organisations meet customer needs and preferences, and the influences on global travel and tourism as part of their learning.
We believe that travel and tourism is a remarkable subject to develop transferable skills, practice and expand interpersonal skills, learn to critically analyse information, and accurately apply their knowledge gain to plan holidays for specific visitor types.

Summative and formative assessment will be used throughout KS3 to monitor pupil progress and further inform teaching and learning.
We make links to Careers in Travel and Tourism, by integrating job examples into our schemes of work for students to consider the fields that link to the subject such as cabin crew, hotel management, resort representative, travel agency manager or visitor attraction management.
