Letter to Families about Face Coverings
14th May 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
Face coverings in school
From 17th May, in line with Step 3 of the Government roadmap, face coverings will no longer be recommended for secondary school students or staff in classrooms in all schools. If staff or students choose to continue to wear a face covering in classrooms, they of course can.
As a precautionary measure the Director of Public Health at Bradford Council recommends that pupils in secondary schools continue to wear face coverings in corridors and communal areas in schools. We will therefore continue to ask that students follow this guidance and wear face coverings in the communal areas of school. Our staff will do the same.
Face covering regulations remain the same from May 17th outside of school in public indoor places, including public and school transport.
Please contact school if you have any questions at all.
Kind regards,
Tina Smith
Headteacher
